The Year End Closing process is upon us! While many (like myself) are excited for the holiday season, accountants may share a different perspective as they work to finalize an accurate snap shot of this fiscal year’s transactional activities. As organizations work to close out their fiscal year, some confusion may arise as to what procedures the Year End Close consists of and the order they are performed in.
Last year, Microsoft published a blog series that helped explain the year-end close process and provide some detailed insights into the steps involved. This year, I would like to show you Dynamics University’s GP Year End Resource Center, which provides detailed information on all things Year End Close in Microsoft Dynamics GP. This is a great resource that provides all the information you may need, as well as additional links, all in one place.
The GP Year End Resource Center provides:
- When to close and the order for closing modules
- Version and Update information
- Update Tips
- Year-End Changes
- Year End specific module information
